A Párhuzamok kiállítás a Visegrádi Négyek kiemelkedő villaépületeit bemutató Great Villas kiállítás újragondolásából született. A jelen válogatás azon mesterműveket mutatja be, amelyek párhuzamba hozhatók Hudec László sanghaji villaépületeivel. Eseménysorozatunk célja rávilágítani a Visegrádi Négyek építészete és az ázsiai architektúra finom összhangjára Hudec László épületeinek tükrén keresztül. Ennek érdekében a 2008-as Visegrád 4 Építészeti Együttműködés egykori aláírói létrehozzák a Visegrád 4 Építészeti Alapítványt. Ma,amikor a gazdasági és kulturális együttműködés Ázsia és Európa között egyre jelentősebb szerepet kap, a Visegrádi Országok a nemzetközi együttműködés egyik alappillérét jelentik nyelvi, és a múlt században gyökerező kulturális, történeti hagyományaink miatt. A köztünk zajló párbeszéd eszközeazene, azépítészetésaművészetek, melyek által közös gyökereinket leljük meg ismét – gondoljunk csak a pentatóniára, vagy népművészetünkre. Amint újra felismerjük ezen értékeinket, ráeszmélünk, hogy a 20. század elején olyan kivételes egyéniségek, közéleti személyek, művészek és mérnökök gazdagították országainkat, amilyen Hudec László is volt, akinek életműve Ázsia, Európa és a Visegrádi Országok közös kincsét jelenti. Kiállítás-sorozatunk célja bemutatni és felhívni a figyelmet közös kulturális kincseinkre, kiemelkedő
művészeti és tudományos teljesítményekre és az ebből eredő kulturális együttműködés lehetőségeire. Ezt a folyamatot mutatja be a 2008-ban indított Great Villas kiállítás sorozat az elmúlt 100 év villaépítészetén keresztül, valamint a Sacral Places kiállítás. A századforduló idején olyan átütő és koherens művészeti-építészeti érték sarjadt közös kulturális
gyökereinkből, amely egészen Ázsiáig elért. Célunk, hogy ezt az utat az egész világnak bemutassuk.

The Parallels exhibition was born as the reinterpretation of the former Great Villas exhibition, which represented the outstanding villa architecture of the V4countries.This selection presents those masterpieces, that are parallel to the shanghai villas of László Hudec. The aim of the organized range of events is to highlight the delicate harmony between the architecture of the V4 and Asia through the buildings of László Hudec. For this purpose the original signers of the Visegrad 4 Architectural Cooperation founded in 2008 are now establishing the Visegrad 4 Architectural Foundation.
These days when both the economical and the cultural cooperation between Asia and Europe is
getting more and more significant, the Visegrad Countries became primal bases of the intercontinental collaboration due to their traditions of language, culture and history originated in the past century. The means of this dialogue is music, architecture and arts where we can find our common roots – let us think of the pentatony, or our folklore. As we re-explore these values, we recognise, that in the beginning of the 20th century we had several special individuals, public figures, artists and engineers, like László Hudec, whose lifework is considered as the common cultural treasure of Asia, Europe and the Visegrad countries as well. The aim of this range of exhibition and forum is to present and promote our common cultural treasures as well as our outsanding artistic and scientific achievements and the resulting possibilities
of cultural cooperation. This process is represented by the Great Villas exhibitions initiated in 2008, which displays the villa architecture of the past 100 years, as well as the Sacral Places exhibition.
Such powerful and coherent artistic as well as architectural values were provided by our common cultural roots at the turn of thecentury, that their impact reached throughout Asia. Our aim is to promote this journey throughout the world.

Ídea výstavy PARALELY vznikla na základe série výstav o slávnych vilách Great Villas. Tento výber prezentuje tie majstrovské diela, ktoré v sebe nesú spoločné znaky s vilami architekta Ladislava Hudeca zrodené v Šanghaji. Aj touto výstavou by sme chceli poukázať na momenty jemného súzvuku architektúry víl zrodených v krajinách Vyšegradskej štvorky s architektúrou Východnej Ázie v zrkadle architektúry Ladislava Hudeca. V snahe ukázať širokej verejnosti aj tieto hodnoty signatári Memoranda o spolupráci architektov Vyšegradských krajín založili Nadáciu architektúry Vyšegradskej štvorky. Dnes, keď spolupráca Ázie a Európy v oblasti hospodárstva a kultúry nadobúda čoraz väčší význam, krajiny Vyšegradskej štvorky znamenajú jeden zo základných pilierov tejto spolupráce vzhľadom na ich historické a kultúrne tradície. Esenciálnym spojivom medzi našimi kultúrami je architektúra a iné umenia, akým je napríklad hudba – mysliac tu na našu pentatóniu – cestou ktorých opäť nachádzame naše spoločné
korene. V momente rozpoznávania týchto našich spoločných hodnôt sa nám upriamuje pozornosť predovšetkým na výnimočné osobnosti obdobia začiatku 20.-ho storočia, na tvorcov umelcov, na verejných činiteľov, na architektov a inžinierov akým bol aj Ladislav Hudec, ktorého životné dielo je organickou súčasťou kultúry Ázie, Európy a krajín Vyšegradskej štvorky.
Cieľom aj tejto putovnej výstavy je poukázať na naše významné spoločné kultúrne hodnoty, a na význam interakcií v oblasti vedy medzi našimi krajinami, vytvárajúce efekt synergie v minulom období s dosahom aj na súčasnosť. Táto platforma nám vytvára základ aj našej budúcej spolupráce. Dôležité momenty tohto procesu ukazuje nám už spomínaná séria výstav slávnych víl Great Villas trvajúca dodnes od začiatku roku 2008 – dokumentujúca celé jedno storočie vývoja – ako aj výstava sakrálnej architektúry v našich krajinách pod názvom „Duchovné miesta“ – „Sacral places“. Na začiatku minulého storočia sa teda zrodila taká kultúrna a umelecko – architektonická hodnota prameniaca zo studnice našej spoločnej kultúry, ktorej dosah sa prejavil až v ďalekej Východnej Ázii. Preto je našim cieľom ukázať túto hodnotu celému Svetu.
